In The Name of God Amen that one ore about the 17 day of may in the yeare of our Lord god 1654 That I Thomas Watson of Bournehoope in wardale in the County of durham yeoman, beinge waike in bodie and of good witt and perfect memory praised be the Lord doe make & ordaine this my Last will and testament in this manner and fourme ffolloweing

ffirst I give and bequeth my soule to allmightie god my creator and redeemer hopeinge by his merrit in Jesus Christ onely to be saved

Item I give to the poure people of Stanhoope parish five shillings

Item I give and bequeth unto my Eldest sonne Thomas One parcell of Ground Called wine Sicke and all Commodities belongeing to it and forty Gates in Bournehoope Till the lease be expired and to Enter on it at the day of his marriage. Moreover I set to my soune Thomas the flask head and the wester flask head and forty gates in the fell To Enter one it after his mothers' death

Item I set to my soune Raiph Watson the house and home and hill and the Law flask and the Rest of the gates & if it please god that god should Call Either of Thomas watson Or Raiph watson That theire parcell of grounde Should fall to the righteous heire.

Item I give and bequeth to my daughter Annas twenty pounds at the Day of her marriage to be paid by the Executors Moreover I give and bequeth to my daughter Annas One Cow and a Calfe to be paid at michaelmas after her fathers' decease and tenn? youse and to be paid at michaelmas after her father decease,

Item I give to my soune Raiph watson Eight pounds to be paid to him at whissonday Com a twellv month to be paid to him either in money or in goods whether she willl to the sight of two neighbours

Item I give to my soune Cuthbert & my soune William Watson Either of them five pounds to be paid to them at whissonday Com two yeare

Item I set to my Soune Cuthbert and my Soune william Either of them twenty pounds twenty pounds twenty pounds to my Soune Thomas to pay and twenty pounds for my Soune Raiph to pay after the decease of theire mother if the Lease be not expired that is Twenty nobiles in the yeare That is for Thomas watson to pay twentie nobiles To his brother William at the michaelmas after theire entering & twenty nobiles next comeing after againe & twenty nobiles to be paid next michaelmas comeng after againe.

Item and my Soune Raiph to pay Twenty pounds to his brother Cuthbert that is Twenty Nobiles to be paid at michaelmas next comeing after his Entering and twenty nobiles next michaelmas after againe and twenty nobiles at michaelmas next after againe Till the last be expired Moreover if the Lease be expired before this money be paid then all the remanide[?] To be void and of none Effect

Item I give to my soune Thomas Six youes

Item I give to Thomas ffatherstone three Children fifteene Shillings

Item I give to John pearts Childe five shillings

Item I give to my brother Cuthbert Soun Thomas five Shillings and for these to have it paid at michaelmas next comeing after my decease, ffor

The rest of all my goods Moveable and one moveable my debts and legacis paid with the Cost of my fourth Bringing Trewly contented and discharged I give To my wife Isbell & my daughter Isbell and my daughter Jane & my daughter mary Which I make my full Executors of this my Last will and testament to execut & accomplish the same as my trust is in them The Witnesses hereof are under written
