During a freak snowstorm, Botha L.6531 crashed into a hillside near Rothbury, Northumberland - all the crew were killed (Sgt. Zawalinski - Pilot; LAC's. Carter, Bradley and Campbell - u/t. Air Gunners). Two other aircraft from this unit were caught in this storm but landed at Boulmer.
